You have a narrower head, a different balancer system, two timing chains to our one, more power. I did mine at 15,800 and the right exhaust was really tight. I couldn't fit my smallest feeler gauge under it ( .035 mm). The klr is a good cheap, light weight touring bike if you want it to be. There isnt much in the price range with the weather protection, range, and plush ride. Other options are... Vstrom - more street, more weight, more money, stronger motor.
