I know the FCR MX39 has been done to death and I'm sure it's without a shadow of a doubt, the best carb upgrade for the little effort as it is a part and all ancillaries are readily available. BUT, and I'm not the first to mention it, the price of the FCR 39 is well up there, perhaps a ...1) Remove the throttle wheel cover from your FCR. 2) Work the O-Ring over the timing adjustment screw. 3) Pull the O-Ring over the black AP cam thusly. 4) Re-install the throttle wheel cover. Posted September 6, 2019. You should not need to remove the float bowl on an FCR carb to remove the fuel screw. It must be hung on the spring or it got turned in too tight at some point and the o-ring is mashed and that may be gripping it.
