Getting hosed via Tastytrade methodology. I've been watching tastytrade and thinking that selling options is a great way to make outsized returns by taking on a greater amount of volatility. I had hoped that by trading uncorrelated assets, i could differentiate the risk and overall cash in on the differential between historical and implied IV.I've been studying and practising the tastytrade method for about 9 months now, of which the last 3 months I've been consistently profitable. I make 5-10 trades a day and I'm up 5% year-to-date. I had no prior experience trading options; my only experience with trading was from bitcoin. The tastytrade method is more refined than OP's description.
