In my October 1950 Remington Arms Co., Inc. catalogue everything 11-48 and Sportsman 48 jumps from the B "Special" grade to the D "Tournament" Grade. The model 11 was also a long recoil action gun but, many did not like the "Hump back" design on the gun.
