Having now had E2's on the P226, P227, and M11A1/ P229, I can tell you that all three are shaped differently. I didn't really care for them on the P226, but they are outstanding on the M11A1. I think that Mec-Gar 18rd P229 mag comes with a +3 adapter so it is not flush fit and will be slightly loose because it is the same width as a P226 mag.
