Chevy 366 hop up. I have a Chevy 366 engine in my bus the power is ok at 0 to 2000' on flat land but when you get into hills and over 2500-3000' it falls on its face. Anybody ever tried to mod these engines I dont want a race engine just looking to pep it up a little, 50 more ft lbs torque would be nice..

hi gm truck club! i'm looking for some technical information on a 1991 gmc topkick with a 366 truck block with tbi fuel injection. it is actually a tow truck, 17 or 19' rollback. it belongs to a friend of mine whom i do side work for. he was on his way back to the shop when the engine overspeed light came on, and the truck sputtered to a stop.Step 2: Test Valveseat Seal. The ONLY thing 366 BBC's are good for, is to pull the crank out and the rods out, list the four bolt caps on Ebay and sell the rest to the scrap yard for the going rate.. The cranks are steel and with a rebalance make great 396-427 based engines. The rods are usually the better 3/8 bolt type.
